RSC! Interns Visit Bluewolf

  • March 25, 2015
  • Developing Digital Leaders

On February 26 and March 5, the RSC! cohort visited Bluewolf in San Francisco to learn about the breadth of careers available within this one subset of tech.

The staff at Bluewolf welcomed us with with presentations about resume styles and using LinkedIn for an effective job search. The interns were also able to have their resumes professionally reviewed, and they gained professional contacts for their LinkedIn profiles.

Here are some of their reactions to the trip:

I really enjoyed the trip to Blue Wolf! The overall atmosphere and people there were really great. I’m really happy with the information I learned and feedback on my resume. —Leanna

I got some really good advice on how to market oneself and what are some do’s and don’ts during interviews. Also, the resume and LinkedIn profile walk-through was super helpful. —Minnie

I learned a lot about what elements make a good resume. For example, I learned that the use of language completely changes the tone of voice and talking to someone about my work experience helps me explain specifically what I had done. —Pichmolida

Our partnerships with firms, businesses, and professionals are incredibly important because they provide the young people in the program with contacts and the necessary exposure to further prepare them for careers in tech. If you or your business are interested in partering with us to enrich the experience of the talented and deserving young people in the Ready, Set, Connect! program, please email me at andrea@ctnbayarea.org.

Until next time!

For many adults, learning technology isn’t about mastering the newest app or gadget. It’s about gaining the confidence to solve everyday problems independently. Through patience, encouragement, and a learner-centered approach, digitalLIFT volunteer Digital Coach Sukhendu empowers learners to build practical skills that improve their daily lives. That approach has made a meaningful difference for David, a learner who has been working one-on-one with Sukhendu since May of 2025. Rather than following a rigid curriculum, Sukhendu tailors each session to the learner’s goals, providing opportunities for learning and growth.Instead of a formal computer class, David wanted to work with someone who could answer questions as they arose. This learner-centered approach lies at the heart of digitalLIFT’s Digital Coaching program, and Sukhendu used this model by listening carefully, adapting each session to the learner’s priorities, and building on previous lessons, resulting in an environment where learning felt approachable and achievable. Sukhendu's volunteer service is especially meaningful because he meets learners where they are.The rest of the story: digitallift.org/from-small-questions-to-lasting-confidence-one-learners-digital-journey/#DigitalCoaching #DigitalSkills #DigitalConfidence #digitalLIFT ...

As healthcare and essential services become increasingly digital, organizations that serve communities are finding new ways to ensure technology does not become another barrier for the people who rely on them. Whether someone is trying to participate in a telehealth appointment, access health information, communicate with a provider, monitor their health, or connect with essential resources online, digital skills and support have become increasingly important to health, independence, and well-being.At digitalLIFT, we are proud to work alongside partners that are responding to this challenge in thoughtful and innovative ways. Curry Senior Center, Kentucky Health Center Network, and MHP Salud serve very different communities, yet each recognizes that trusted support can help people overcome digital barriers and participate more fully in an increasingly digital world.Read the full article: digitallift.org/how-healthcare-and-community-partners-are-helping-people-navigate-an-increasingly...#curryseniorcenter #KHCN #mhpsalud #digitallift ...
