Community Tech Network’s 2022 Annual Report Is Here!

  • July 31, 2023
  • General

As global awareness of the need for connectivity has steadily increased since the COVID-19 pandemic, Community Tech Network has experienced an unprecedented amount of growth.

In 2022 alone, we worked with 55 partner agencies to deliver 3,464 hours of digital literacy training to 1,556 learners in eight different languages. We also recruited 92 volunteers who provided 1,384 hours of service.

Our 2022 Annual Report shares some of our highlights from the past year and spotlights various learners, partners, and volunteers.

As we continue to transform lives through digital equity in 2023, it’s a joy to look back and see all that we accomplished last year. We couldn’t do any of this work without you.

To celebrate our 2022 successes with us, check out the Annual Report here.

Language Access Is Digital Access - digitalLIFT’s Hispanic Heritage Month Commitment to Spanish-Speaking Learners—This month, we’re highlighting the resources and people helping Spanish-speaking learners build digital skills. Hispanic Heritage Month, September 15 to October 15, celebrates the histories, cultures, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities. At digitalLIFT, we’re working to make digital skills education more accessible to Spanish-speaking learners and the organizations that serve them. Our bilingual, bicultural instructors and community partners utilize our Spanish-language resources including curriculum for trainers, practical technology guidance, and real examples from community-based programs helping Spanish speakers build digital confidence. The rest of the story:digitallift.org/language-access-is-digital-access-digitallifts-hispanic-heritage-month-commitment...#HispanicHeritageMonth #SpanishLanguageCurriculum #DigitalSkillsEducation #digitalLIFT ...

Most of what you'll read about technology and mental health this World Mental Health Day will be about having too much of it: teenagers glued to feeds, doomscrolling before bed, notifications that never stop. Those concerns are real. But they leave out millions of people whose problem is the opposite. For an older adult living alone, a person with a disability who can't easily leave home, a family in a rural town an hour from the nearest clinic, or someone who speaks limited English, the risk isn't too much time online. It's being shut out. Family connections, support groups, therapy appointments, and benefits applications have moved online. When you can't follow them there, you lose more than convenience. You lose connection, care, and a sense of control over your own life. That's mental health. And it's the work digitalLIFT and our partners do every day. What Connection DoesSince 2020, digitalLIFT has reached thousands of learners through hundreds of partner organizations. When we asked learners what changed:76% said they feel more connected to family and friends.75% said they take part in more community activities.75% said they can access health resources more easily.88% said they navigate the internet more safely. Those aren't technology outcomes. They're wellbeing outcomes. The rest of the story: digitallift.#WorldMentalHealthDayth#digitalconnection26#digitalliftalHealthDay #DigitalConnection #digitalLIFT ...
