  • January 9, 2024
  • digitalLIFT, General, Webinars

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of an exciting initiative at CTN — our monthly Lunch & Learn webinar series dedicated to fostering digital equity! In our commitment to supporting organizations and individuals striving for digital inclusion, these webinars aim to provide valuable insights, strategies, and practical tips. Our inaugural session on January 25 kicked things off right! You can watch the recording here.

The first session of our webinar series is a not-to-be-missed event for digital equity practitioners. Titled “How to Support Digital Navigators,” this session delves into effective ways to empower and manage your Navigators on the ground who are working to bring digital inclusion to the community.

What to Expect: Interactive Learning and Prizes

Our webinars are not just about information — they’re about building a community dedicated to digital equity. Attendees could expect an engaging and interactive session where they could connect with like-minded individuals, ask questions, and share their experiences. As a token of appreciation, all attendees were entered into a raffle for a chance to win access to a curriculum or course from our digitalLIFT training toolkit.

Why Attend?

  • Learn essential strategies for supporting Digital Navigators in your organization.
  • Connect with a community of digital equity practitioners and enthusiasts.
  • Gain actionable insights to drive digital inclusion in your workplace.

Most of what you'll read about technology and mental health this World Mental Health Day will be about having too much of it: teenagers glued to feeds, doomscrolling before bed, notifications that never stop. Those concerns are real. But they leave out millions of people whose problem is the opposite. For an older adult living alone, a person with a disability who can't easily leave home, a family in a rural town an hour from the nearest clinic, or someone who speaks limited English, the risk isn't too much time online. It's being shut out. Family connections, support groups, therapy appointments, and benefits applications have moved online. When you can't follow them there, you lose more than convenience. You lose connection, care, and a sense of control over your own life. That's mental health. And it's the work digitalLIFT and our partners do every day. What Connection DoesSince 2020, digitalLIFT has reached thousands of learners through hundreds of partner organizations. When we asked learners what changed:76% said they feel more connected to family and friends.75% said they take part in more community activities.75% said they can access health resources more easily.88% said they navigate the internet more safely. Those aren't technology outcomes. They're wellbeing outcomes. The rest of the story: digitallift.#WorldMentalHealthDayth#digitalconnection26#digitalliftalHealthDay #DigitalConnection #digitalLIFT ...
